This page is an archive of sorts, detailing the national broadcasting contracts that each conference and independent had for the 2000-2004 seasons. I leaned heavily on NationalChamps.net  and several schools' websites that had archives going back to 2000. Note that I'm not listing local telecasts here. I don't feel there is enough detailed information out there to create a week-by-week schedule and detail the local telecasts like I do today.

I did this to provide how many of the conference TV contracts were structured prior to 2004-2005 realignments, particularly since realignment is a hot-button topic.  It also provides a glimpse of how some conferences were shown on TV outside of ABC/ESPN, such as the Big East on CBS and Conference USA and the WAC on Fox Sports Net.  Fox Sports Net also syndicated Big 12 and PAC-10 games instead of selling games to TBS and airing others over other Fox Sports Net affiliated stations

Also not included here are the various "Kickoff Classic" and preseason games that seemed to increase, then disappear over this period of time.  Those games seemed to be contracted to particular entities (ABC, ESPN, FSN, etc.) without regard to whether the conference had a contract with the network.

As with anything on the site, if it looks incorrect.  Please let me know.
